Relacement of an old felt roof with fibreglass, Winchmore Hill

May 2016, we have just completed a replacement roof in Winchmore Hill, Enfield, North London. The clients had an old felt roof which was failing and unsightly and decided to replace it with fibreglass as they wanted a long lasting solution.

First, we fully stripped the old roof and installed new insulation at the clients request. New OSB3 boards went over the top and we fibreglassed and topcoated using our premier system Scott Bader Premier Crystic Roof.

Particular attention was paid to sealing and waterproofing around the existing pipes which protrude from the wall as these entry points can be prone to leaks if not sealed thoroughly and correctly (see photo detail).

We are sure you will agree that the new fibreglass roof looks good as well as being very low maintenance and durable.

We received a very positive testimonial.

“Thank you Phil for your prompt and professional service throughout. The roof looks great and is currently being tested by a very heavy shower. All good.” R. Ripley

It was a pleasure working for this very nice couple and satisfying in providing them with a new roof that will give them ongoing peace of mind.
