Why employ Proplas to install your fibreglass roof?
We offer one of the best flat roofing solutions on the market
Although fibreglass has been a roofing product for over 60 years its benefits are sometimes overlooked. It’s primarily a very strong roof solution and can withstand foot-fall and extreme weathering. This durability makes it very cost effective over time and very low maintenance. It is aesthetically pleasing and a roof can be finished in any bespoke colour. There are no seams or joins which makes it waterproof and it can be moulded to any shaped area. A non-slip grit can be added to the top coat making it suitable for decks and balconies.
We specialise solely in GRP fibreglass roofs
At Proplas we have never diversified into other flat roofing materials as we believe that GRP fibreglass offers the most durable, waterproof and cost effective flat roofing solution on the market today. Bitumen (asphalt and coal tar) products were used for flat roofs for many, many years before fibreglass roof systems were invented. Modern bitumen roof systems continue to be popular due to tradition and potential low costs but typically last a short time compared to fibreglass systems. Although we guarantee our fibreglass roofs for 25 years we expect they will last for many, many more.
We are trained experts with 30 years experience
The application of a fibreglass roofing system requires technical expertise. The polyester resins used to laminate a fibreglass roof are affected by temperature, humidity and other factors. There is little room for error as the system is cold applied and the resins cure quickly, which is why we recommend a fibreglass roof is laid by the professionals here at Proplas. As well as 30 years of experience using fibreglass products, Phil at Proplas is a trained, certified and approved installer for the Scott Bader Crystic Roof Premier Fibreglass system. We recommend Scott Bader products to our clients as they are top quality and provide a very long lasting roof solution. We also offer a standard system which is still incredibly durable, has a 600g mat (thicker than industry standard) and comes with our 25 years guarantee.
